NTATD is the North Texas Association of Technology Directors. NTATD was started as a purchasing collaborative for small school districts, and has evolved in to a mutual support network for technology directors at small schools and local businesses.
We meet once a month to discuss issues, share ideas, and encourage one another. Each meeting is at a different school district.
We also have a fairly active listserv. The listserv is free, and many of our listserv members have never been to an NTATD meeting. It's a great way to get help with issues and to find out information.
At the end of each year, we offer scholarship to local students who plan to pursue careers in technology.
